MKA Ijtema 2024 – 25 | Holy Quran – Casket of Jewels

Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK is happy to announce the new theme approved by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba)  as Holy Quran – Casket of Jewels. Here’s a quick read to get you thinking about the theme and what the focus will be for this Khuddam year.

In the Holy Quran, Allah the Almighty States This is a perfect Book; there is no doubt in it; it is a guidance for the righteous” (Surah Al-Baqarah, Chapter 2 Verse 3).

The Holy Quran is a guidance for mankind, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba) states “It is indeed a great miracle of the Quran, that it’s text remains intact to this day as it is God’s promise: Verily, We Ourself have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian.’ ” (Surah Al-Hijr, Chapter 15 Verse 10).

Throughout it’s time, the ever growning world we live in, the Holy Quran has always and will always continue to be a guidance for mankind.

There is no excellent exemplar in Islam than the devoted servant and messenger of Allah – The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa). The Holy Prophet (sa) has narrated, ‘Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.’

The only way to truly understand what Allah The Almighy is stating in the Holy Quran is through reading its translation. It’s why to this day the Holy Quran has been translated into 114 languages around the world.

The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) wrote: “Remember the Holy Quran is a fountainhead of real blessings and a source of salvation. Those who do not practice on the Quran , it is their own fault.”

The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said: “Holy Quran should be read with care, concentration and interest. A Hadith relates that there are many reciters of the Holy Quran who are cursed by the Qur’an. The Holy Quran curses the person who reads the Quran but does not practice on it. When one comes across a verse denoting blessing while reciting the Qur’an, blessing should be sought from Allah the Exalted at the juncture. Where torment on people is mentioned, entreaty should be made to God for His refuge from His torment and it should be read with care and concentration and it should be acted on.”

The Holy Quran also tells us that it is the love for the Holy Prophet that can save the people from the fire of hell and it is obedience to him that can attract the pleasure of God.

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba)

Delivering the concluding address at the MKA National Ijtema 2022

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba) states “Hazrat Musleh Maud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that it is not right to attempt to pronounce each word of the Quran like a qari because God has not given us the capacity to do so.”

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba) continues to state “The main objective is not to recite the Quran like a qari; of course it is important to continue to read the Quran in an improved way but it is not right to simply stop reading it just because we cannot pronounce some letters. What we should do is attempt to make our pronunciation as close as possible to the original and continue to improve ourselves.”

This year, Majlis Khuddamul Ahamdiyya UK has complied a list of books related to the theme of this year’s Ijtema on Insightful Reads. These books are free to read, and includes the book of the year 2024 – 25 too.
