The Holy Quran – A Book to Unite All People

In this series of articles related to the Ijtema theme, we present how the Holy Quran is a Book to Unite All People.

The Holy Quran has been a guidance for mankind, it is this very “casket of jewels” that contains the words of Allah the Almighty which allows humanity to follow and understand their faith and what it means to be a Muslim.

Nevertheless, it is this very book which the Promised Messiah (as) has stated the following, “the treasure of knowledge provided by the Holy Quran enables one to grow and develop a connect with God.”

It is no doubt that the important element of an Islamic principle is to attain nearness to Allah the Almighty.

Time and time again, we’ve been reminded in many virtuous ways to receive the nearness and acceptance of Prayers through Allah the Almighty.

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (May Allah be his Helper) has stated that “if one wishes to draw closer to God and attain his pleasure, then they must also bear in mind the Holy Qur’an, is the only means to do so.”

One of them is understanding the true meaning of the Holy Quran.

The Promised Messiah (as) said that the Holy Quran enables one to reflect the attributes of God. However, it is not enough to follow the Holy Quran, rather one must reach the heights of love and loyalty.

The Promised Messiah (as) invited that if anyone wished to investigate claims, they could reside with him for two months and see themselves. Even today, it is through the Promised Messiah (as) writing that people are reaching this realisations.

The Holy Quran enables on to live a life of purity. The Promised Messiah (as) states that true purpose of its revelation should be to enable its followers to abandon a life of impurity and equip them with the ability to recognising and drawing nearer to God.

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (May Allah Be His Helper) has stated some people engage in traditional methods of supplication without knowing the true meaning of what they are practising. Instead, it would be more beneficial to spend that time in reflecting and pondering over the Holy Qur’an, which would result in spiritual progress.

The Holy Qur’an contains all the light that is necessary in facing the darknesses of this time. Its teachings are shining like the sun, and it has the cure for all spiritual diseases within it. There is no divine guidance left out from it, and one who follows it perfectly purifies his heart and establishes a union with Allah.
